  3. coming back to me 1991 was a decent race as i am sure we timed at tea time and did not make the result,as a matter of interest the bird we timed was bred by stb and had scored the week before in the midland fed open. :) well done gareth and george. 20th anniversary this year maybe just maybe. :) ;) i think john raced to douglas water during the glory years of the west section. :)
  4. getting old frank not sure about that race or j docherty being kevins dad????? although kevin has been close to winning the section in the y/b nat recently, the great jock allan timed some crackers at the y/b national over the years, and your old man could get them too frank!!!!!!!
  5. great read frank, remember the race well a cold wet night and i think we timed just before 7pm a wee cheq hen with a baldy head, and i had to go in front of the committee chaired by rev sam ovens to get our position!!!!!!!!!!due to a ring issue, she was lost at the coast the following year, she did leave her mark though as two blue bar hens containing a touch of her blood would win section f in 1996 and 1998 for ourselves from worcester y/b national, fantastic memories. :) :)
  6. good walter,always great memories. :)
