  1. our thoughts are with the Rankin family at this terrible time,George was a giant of a man both in stature and in the racing pigeon world who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. RIP big George. the Hood family Milton of Campsie.

  5. not sure about that geo,as on this thread previously people want a quick fix ie one day races,would be great to get more fanciers competing for the GOLD CUP but this is 2011 and dont think we can turn back the clock so imo the SNFC must at all times cater for all. ;) at the moment the programme is not too far away. :)
  6. spot on m8,have been lucky enough to have topped the fed from most distances,but winning the ANNIE ROSS BOWES TROPHY FOR 1ST SECTION GOLD CUP SNFC HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT SO FAR and better than all the fed toppers averages etc together imo.ps will toast this years winners mr and mrs davie elliot this weekend. :)

  8. john the last few years the "WEST OF SCOTLAND AMALGAMATION" have been racing in conjunction with the SNFC,federations ayrshire,ballochmyle,renfrew,midland and lanarkshire.???????i think it has been working.

  11. have been a member the last 2 years lewis and have only flown one of the y/b races,nice wee chance for a gamble though.

  19. you missed a good one 2 weeks ago at bonnybridge m8,i am a wee bit biased but my good pal john bosworh is a very good panelist, have heard some good guys over the years geoff hunt,steven van breemen,rod adams,geoff cooper,brian sheppard,david black,willie wilson,george rankin (have been priviledged to have been on a couple of panels with big george)brian may,jack adams,robert cormack,eddie newcombe and lots more,and also some very good vets. :) :)enjoyed most of these guys and kept my ears open. ;)

  23. our old loft is buckingham green gloss but the other lofts are dark oak wood stain. :)

  25. well done alf,have been doing a few running repairs ourself,the old dookit is 40 years old and was previously the campsie glen cricket club pavillion so who knows how old it is!!!!! a keep telling old jock we will put up a new one but to be fair any good national doos we have had have all raced to the old dookit which looks like fulton mackays hoose on the beach in the film "local hero" but dont tell old jock ah said that.
