  16. good post george.we take about 15 l/bs and these will range and then train together through the winter on good days,we had 2 older late breds on this years eastbourne national result. :)
  17. not sure about that frank, only scratches the surface some great guys mentioned and others missing, some fanciers still doing well in the distance races who were doing it in the 60s and 70s,all the national races are a great test but 500 - 640 miles is imo the holy grail of racing. :)
  18. dont think you would be far away del.
  19. is hard to work out as we both know you can have a couple of very good years and then maybe a couple of not so good years, thats what makes this distance racing with the snfc so interesting and very hard. :)
  20. i admit to spending a few nights looking through results :D can be a bit of an anorak :D but as usual in scotland if you say too much you are blowing your own trumpet,as said else where on this thread there are many very good national fanciers who go unnoticed. ;)
  21. you can go to any sort of criteria del,i have looked at all 3 yrs 5 yrs 10yrs top ten section positions,if you guys are looking for the top west section snfc 500 -600 mile fancier of the last ten years with all the stats imo MR & MRS D ELLIOT have the best record, but again there are a lot of top performers in the west section. :)
  22. you are not far wrong frank,not sure about national tickets won????????? last 3 years in our section from the traditional 500 -640 miles the SNFC have flown 9 races into the west section.the following fanciers have made the result of these 9 races the most times. J & J HOOD 7/9 D & L HAY 7/9 J MEIKLE 6/9 W HOLLAND 5/9 N ORR 5/9 W ALLISON 5/9 D YOUNG 5/9 T RICHARDSON 4/9 J ALSTON 4/9 J CLARK 4/9 G RANKIN 3/9 J & A STOKES 3/9 J OHARA 3/9 D DONALDSON 3/9 R RICHARDSON 3/9 W GRAHAM 3/9 i have no idea which fanciers flew all 9 races,personally we never sent bourges and missed the messac result this year. :)
  23. yes del you are up there too but as you know billy holland ybn record does take a bit of beating.
