I haven't raced any yet,but i have got a pair of late breads which i hope will breed the "goods".The famous "Invincible spirit" did his share on the distance and the late breads i have is of his pedigree.I'm looking forward to 09 season.

welcome to the site mate,i personaly feel that the smaller the bird the better on the distance,i got some Roland jannsen's that is massive birds good for sprinting.This is my opinion,am looking forward to wat other members say.

I totaly agree with feds not dropping prices,and wat is the point in paying 82p a liter on petrol and my weekly shop has gone from £25 to £49, Its mad!!!!!

One of my hens layd her first egg today and i noticed its very nobly,the egg is perfect shape good size but there is these tiny littel nobly bits on it,she is a 2year old bird.Is there any need to worry, If aded a picture,hope you can see wat i mean. Hi there all!!!!! This thread is pointed at anybody living in and around the Devon area. After buying 4 tickets for the saturday at Blackpool pigeon show,one of my mates canceled. Now i am stuck with a ticket and a empty seat.If i don't find a replacement,it will bump the price for the other 2 chaps up and they might cancel as well.I don't mean to make it sound like a drama story,train fares and couch fares is so expensive and because of personal reasons i can only go on the saturday i decided to drive myself and find 3 more people in the same bout as i.If there is any body interested please PM me asap. On my old loft,I painted a part of my coridor floor with bitchimen,drilled a hole in the middel were a plug fits in.After a bath i just sweep the access water down the hole mop up and job one,the sun soon dry the rest out.never had any coxi or any other problems... andrecrock

Wow i tought my father was the only one,I can remember my dad giving me all his books and videos on pigeons all but one Pigeon City,I am hoping one day that he might leave it in he's will for me.I cant remeber ever reading the book,but for my father who in his day was a great distance flyer i South Africa it must have been special cos he still got it hiding away in his loft amongst prizes and medals.

Someone brought me 2 young strais (unrung) that they cought and tought i might like to have them.I felt bad saying no so i took them of there hands noing that i will probebly end up culling them.After having them in with some tipplers for a coupel of weeks i decided that culing them would be a bit cruel.I stuck them both in a old wicker basket one night,thinking i will give them a 40mile toss on my way to work.On opening the basket the next morning i found the most horifying thing i have ever come across.The bigger of the 2 had sculpt the younger one and left him bleeding like a fountain.On seeing this i blu my rocker and ended up doing ..........you no wat. Wat i would like to know is there any reason for that bird to have behaved like it did and is it common amongst pigeons?
