  1. I’ve been reading a few other posts on the site tonight about changing programs ect and racing 2 YB teams ect I think the first thing we have to consider for the sake of our birds is race points I know most people disagree on west / east ect and someone mentioned Berwick as a race point that’s a big no for me that would mean 15 mile up the road is obstacle one torness power station another 2 mile Dunbar cement works then about 20 miles up the flight path is the 3 bridges each of these 3 places has a falcon nest site and that’s not to mention any that might be nesting in the cliff edge at the sea front. What I saw yesterday was horrendous
  2. Someone should go up and film the attack these falcons have all been put in the places I mentioned and I never mentioned the three bridges on the forth the Lanarkshire and Glasgow routes
  3. Yes and any races from over the water or right down south have four sites I know of that have falcons sizewell , Hartlepool , Torrness and Dunbar cement works the further north the more tired the birds are more than 300 mile on the wing and burnt out when they get to Dunbar imo.
  4. Unfortunately watching the racers go over and through Hartlepool power station today wasn’t as enjoyable as a few weeks ago watched for an hr between 12 and 1pm 9 young racers taken by 3 maybe 4 falcons they were taking one at a time at their Lea sure teaching the babies how to do it I think one was just north of the site directing them towards the site for the other 3 it also looked like the one catching the pigeons was mature as the other 2 were acting excited trying to get dinner from the catcher this might have went on all afternoon as the pigeons were still travelling through at 5 pm what a unlucky line of flight these birds have heading in the Middlesbrough direction.
  5. I had the best seat in the house today for a Doo man I think I was sitting outside have in my lunch break at Hartlepool power station for the whole hr hundreds or birds batches of anything from 20 to 100 hedge hopping must have been liberated within 20 mile of station bad news is 4 perigrans on that station birds looked to be heading south any one any idea where they could have been and going to. So that was at 1230 I first saw them.

  15. Well done Wilson and cairns. ☹ï¸
  16. Well done harky great race . I’m amazed with the unicorn technology we had 3 birds crossing the line on the same minute + 49secs 50secs and 51secs placed 7th 8th and 11th the technology is second to none fitting 2 other racers into that second between 8th and 11th. Amazing.
  17. Top class Walter well done great family of birds.
  18. What best advice in these circumstances birds possibly just flown hundreds of miles and obviously burnt out but someone up the roads waiting on it.
  19. In my opinion it doesn’t do the birds any harm in the basket over night and it probably does calm them before lib I for one and a lot won’t agree am disappointed that the basket img is now held back as we normally do ok in club races when birds are held over and again that’s just my opinion.
