Where do these pigeons live? as if they are out in the open, i would doubt it would be a respiratory infection?? could the birds be getting poisoned? if you really do want to find out what it is, best have an autopsy on the dead bird, yes it will cost, but will cost you alot of money in the long run, if you keep buying medicine you dont need.

I was told to give them a mild salt water solution, in there water in morning, and in the afternoon will drink loads! cleared them up anyhow, (never had canker since) doubt this metod would do you any good while racing though mate.

wow!! 125mg flagyl tablet!! you gave em an overdose mate :-/ would not use tablets, but a 125 mg tab, would be used over 4 days. And im not a no it all, i did same thing as you mate 2 years ago, and this bloke who came to see them, gave me a rite going over, they were o.k after a couple of days, i did it with o.bs :-) i only use in liquid form now
