As secretary of our club I agree with some of what you say as I started two years ago to find out as much as possible about Bricon and then Unikon as I could before any of our members bought it,allthough there as been some small problems with Bricon its nowhere near the amount we have had with Unikon.
Must admit we phoned Ray on Friday night when we were basketing ours birds,we had a problem with a ring that would not register allthough the bird had been sent the week before,he talked me through what to do but it meant allocating another ring to the bird, same thing happened later that night on another members pigeon.
Cant actually see a closing date in the rules for joining but it does say.All members must pay their fees before April 1st each year, you could allways ring the sec to make sure,Mr.S.Barkel.01915 211810.
I think that every fancier could say that their fed is unfair depending on where you are situated but then either move to what you may call a fair position or as most do JUST GET ON WITH IT.
Would also be very interested to see the full ring number, know Tony Wells quite well been up to his place a couple of times infact i,ve got a couple of birds in the loft now i bought off him,and could tell you what a few of his birds have won.
Severn Valley Fed are at Exeter,The RPRA yearlings will be going with our club birds this week,is there anyone on the site that as any entries in the yearling races.
If you did this in the RPRA you would have to register the rings in your name so that you could race them, even then it wouldn,t be as youngbirds, can,t see anyone doing that unless they waited until they were yearlings then they could be raced.
