If you did this in the RPRA you would have to register the rings in your name so that you could race them, even then it wouldn,t be as youngbirds, can,t see anyone doing that unless they waited until they were yearlings then they could be raced.
It really does make you wonder if they know what is causing all these problems, they bring the updates out only weeks before we need to use them and then we are scratting around trying to get everything to work properly before the first race.I,m sure they dont know what efect these new updates will have on the existing system as they allways seem to cause other problems
We charge .55p per bird inland, this is split between the fed charge which each club pays the same per bird depending on how many goes, and the rest is prize money.
Looks like this to me,this guy as had a transfer come through for this pigeon which he neither as or as found infact knows nothing about only that it as been transferred to him for some reason, obviously by mistake.Am I right Mic.
IT,S a pity Rose doesn,t come on here anymore as I dont think you will find many distance fanciers better than her and she used to hopper feed her birds beans all the time.
Would sooner speak to the fancier or wife etc.on the phone then I know I.m not going to have someone going crazy at me on a saterday night saying that he naver had any message to say the birds were up.Allways telling people never send me a text message because they will never know if I,ve read it or not.
RPRA rules do not say that bird as to be confined in loft,my pads are within the 4 walls of the loft but the bird can still be clocked in without going inside the loft.
Special Notice in this weeks BHW.regarding above, rule 241 stays the same, the opinion given by the committee at the recent meeting is in obeyance pending a full review of the rules being carried out over the next 6 months,so no problems at the moment with the traps we have.
Made mine last year but i,m concerned a bit now about this new ruling, not sure if it is a new rule straight away, how do others read it,it was in the BHW April 10th issue page 7 last column about half way down.
Looks like we could have new problems now with the word CONFINED,for those that dont know the piece I quoted was from the RPRA spring meeting held the other week.
Whats your thoughts on this,Any trapping system where the bird is recorded before the bird becomes confined within the the trap or loft contravenes rule 241 of the RPRA.
The new General Manager MR.David Bills is actually a member of our club likewise Peter Bryant before him, this came about because of the RPRA Yearlings races, they had to become members so that the birds could be sent in the club.Sorry this is a bit of the original topic,
Not sure on SHU rules but have known non pigeon people be secs,of clubs in the RPRA,without checking through the rules not sure if they would have to be a club member.
