The only toulet that is used in our club occasionally is a better time keeper than one of our members T3s.

Hi Gerwin hope you are well,Its not the fact that the toulets are old or are less accurate than the more modern clocks,I would say that most are used by the older members of the sport and they just dont want to change.

Will be a shame if something cant be sorted allways a good place for members to meet up,we dont all drink alcohol.

As a secretary I make sure things like this are done well before a marking night,I ask members to give me a list of any alterations they want doing,so that I can sit and do them through the winter,the last thing I want to be doing is changing things on a marking night.

Have a word with the person who put all your info.on your clock to start with,they should change any details such as different sex,s or even add any extra birds etc for next year.

Noticed on the advert for Harka-Mitex it mentioned Duramitex plus at the bottom of the page is that now no good for pigeons.

I believe you cant ask questions like that.

Personally I think this is a decision you have to make yourself,people can give advise which may help to make your mind up but we really dont know how bad you really are and how difficult it is to get someone else to look after the birds if you were layed up for any length of time,I dont know if you use ETS but this would be a great help allthough costing a bit to start and then you might have to pack up after.I wish you all the best on whatever you choose to do.

I bought one of them back some years ago now after seeing them at Blackpool dont have it now though,if you can imagine having a 3ft x 2ft box in the centre with just a v perch for the cock bird,on either side would be 2 hen boxes on top of 1 another each with a sliding door into the cocks section,basically you would let each hen in with the cock in turn and hopefully each hen would lay about the same time,there would be a nest bowl in each of the hens boxes,what you would need then would be some foster pairs that the eggs could be placed under.

Think a lot of transporters are using crates with wire bottoms now,we used to just use corrugated cardboard but the birds would come back from a race plastered in muck especially if it was a holdover, plus if a bird happened to be sick in the crate any other bird could soon pick it up

As long as the birds cant get any excess food from underneath them I would think anything about 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch square,if you staple it to 3/4inch framework the birds would not get the food anyway.

Doesnt matter what the base is made of just make wire bottoms to fit in each crate and put clean paper underneath everytime you cleen them out,any excess corn which birds might bring up will fall through and other birds cant eat it,birds wont be standind in there own muck and will have good grip on the wire.

Do ya think if I send them a empty bank account number that I never use I could con them out of some money.
