Your heading says Best birds for Stock so to me buying latebreds or youngsters is a waste of time and could set you back a few years,personally I think that this is a difficult area in our sport because it is very hard to buy birds that will breed you winners from the start,and what fancier in their right mind will sell you birds that are breeding them winners and really that is what you want in your stock birds,even as some say buy pigeons that have done well racing but I,m sure there are many on here that have had a good racer but never been any good as a stock bird,the only sure way i think is to go to entire clearance sales and look through the birds and select the ones that were breeding them their winners at least then you know that they have bred winners before,they may cost you a bit but at least your not wasting money on birds that havn,t bred anything.
