pair the cock and hen together ,and pair the spair hen to another cock ,let the spare hen lay with the other cock then after 5 days get rid of the eggs ,then lock her in so the cock can see her but cant mate ,then once a day put her some where with the cock that you want young from untill he treads her ,then put her back in her box so the other cock can see her ,do this every day untill she has layed 2 eggs then let the cock she is paird with back in with her ,[job done ] you can do this with up to 6 hens with the one cock .ATB les.

what i done 3 years ago was to study the results of the NFC distance races ,and chose a consistant flyer at the distance ,i came up with JOHN PUDDEPHAT ,i got in touch had a long chat and liked what i was being told ,he has a inbred old family of pigeons that perform at the distance ,i aquired some late breds to breed of ,then i got to know a very good local top distance flyer WILF REED and started to pick his brains and help when posible ,with out me asking he gave me 2 late breds from his very best ,so as you can see you dont have to spend a fortune to get started ,i have bred and given away some late bred young birds from these pigeons to get 1 other person started ,and now im looking forward to this season to see how the birds i bred get on .if i was just starting out i would do the same thing again because the people that i have mentiond have put at least 40+years into these pigeons to get what they wanted ,and are very genuin people as well ,[would i know what i was geting from a stud or some foreign loft ]ATB les.

dont know what the proper name is just i was put onto it 4 years ago and have used it ever since ,the pigeons go mad for it at first they croud around it like it was a giant peanut ;D but after a couple of days they just take it every now and then ,but if you take it out for a week they go mad at it when you put it back ,so it must be full of things they need like they get in the fields from the soil
-
just like to add ,you can get about 15 killos for about £6 which will last 2or3 years if stored in a air tight contaner.
-
one of the farm stores will get it ,it is not made by any one it is a natural product strait out of the ground ,it looks just like a block of dirty ice it comes in all sizes and shapes .if you have never seen pigeons with it you will be amazed how much they crave it ,because it is probibly the most minnerals and vits they could ever get all in one ,one thing to look out for is they go mad for it when feeding young ,so only put it in 2 times a week when breeding other wise the young birds dropings get a bit loose .
-
just wondering if you have seen the big blocks of rock salt ,it is full of all types of natural vits ,it is black and grey in colour ,not your ordinary salt the pigeons go mad for it .ATB les.
-

it was on the tv about eagle owls in belgem ,they was living on rabbits untill mixy killed most of the rabbits then the owls turnd to taking birds ,and the easy kills turnd out to be roosting buzzards at night ,plus some other hawks .so as you see it is asumed they kill hawks most of the time because of all the hype that came after this program .
-
you got pigeons that eat sparrow hawks ,you can make a lot of money. ha ha ATB les.
-
the eagle owl will only take hawks if they nest in the same area ,or the owl gets short on food [which wont happen ] only one thing that will ever deter a raptor MAN.
-
one thing for sure [they are realy going to *expletive removed* up this years racing ,because no one has controled their numbers ],it will be 2 times worse than last season .

this is a old fashioned remedy that works. get your self some pieces of gorse bush ,open up most of the mole hills and put a piece in each one, then cover them back up .the mole will travel along the tunnels and keep hitting the gorse head on and will eventually leave the area .try it it does work .and is free,
