all deterents are crap ,other wise we would all be using the same thing that was proved to work 100 percent ,only things that kill are 100 percent proven fact ,and if you are still leting you birds out in the winter then we should all thank you for helping the hawks to survive untill we start the season then you are contributing to the death of our birds ,[thank you very mutch] why moan about it you caused it .

all i can say is if you live in wales you are now spoilt for choice if you fly pigeons ,hope it is a good thing.would be nice if every welsh pigeon flyer flew one route altogether ,what a welsh national we would have then .

it went verry well ,some of the top flyers in wales went home with birds ,i could not get any of the southwells i bid on ,and i was the opening bidder up to £100 on 12 diferent lots ,shows the quality of the birds that were on offer ,

chris maid 08 not saying you are tight but every time i came to your loft and you had a lettuce on the floor for the birds [why did you leave the plastic cellophane wrap on it ,]i know it last longer but the birds never got any .

you can also get a yellow flashing light the sort on top of break down lorries, i have been told it will put the hawk of if you put it on when you let the birds out [never tried it my self i dont get very many problems since i started using a little jacket that stops unwanted matings] another way to solve the problem is to put a price on its head and let all the kids with air rifels know .

it sounds like they have had some type of infection ,and got over it you get this a lot and those that have had this know it is best left alone ,it will go away eventually ,just keep a eye on the birds with it aslong as they look ok nothing to worry about ,[just had this told to me by a top pigeon vet after he looked at a bird of mine with the same thing ]i also had it in a pigeon that has flown barcalona this year, he had it 6 weeks before the race .[ the spots i am on about is in the back of the throat not on the sides.]

IAN is it not right that the ivermectin that we used 5 or 6 years ago was different than what we use now . and like i said it was down to the dose you gave your birds [i bet the falconers would not be willing to see if a higher dose would affect their birds ](evil)
