John the members agreed a lot at the race programme AGM meeting sadly it was no where near followed out to the members wishes for one reason or another. In fact it resembled nothing of the meeting I was there at the meeting when the man who brought the motion to the table Vincie Hendry and it was put in place to stop races being missed. The rule book doesn't state when the season will finish. If Lanarkshire don't put a race on for the members who wish there birds to go over 200 miles then it will be a very sad day.

Maybe the officials of the fed should read the rule book before making descions or listening to folk who don't have a clue Rule 32b states that in the event of bad weather the young bird races, can bring birds back to another racepoint or return them to the club. The birds will return to missed race point the following week and races put back a week. as you can see by the last four words on the rule lanarkshire fed will be breaking there own rules

Building game George you got a wee turn with your youngster's hopefully they carry on the same way next season sent 31 none left in the loft all going till the young bird national.

Think you would have a better chance if you delayed the young birds while the peregrine are in the nest and the easiest way to do it is to delay the rings being sent out from the unions until say April May to June is when the feeding frenzy starts and if we starve them in the nest August/September might be a bit easier.

George if i was going to get mine through the moult.Then i would be trying mariman's varimix feed top quality and if you don't have too many birds like you the cost wont be a fortune 25kg £13.50 from marlaw pet supplies. Garlic in the water couple of days a week then plain water all the other days with plenty baths. Good luck

More of a forward thinking fed is the south lanarkshire fed. Lanarkshire is bigger birdage and more money but as guys drop out and head to the south fed only the feds up for the challenge will survive
