High Ranking (7/8)

  1. Same race but a different route that bird took might be big Tommy Mcdonagh's bird. The last leg of the journey might be him taking the GPS ring home. Really interesting they are all coming different routes. https://skyleader.com.tw/share/20230527ayEg0k
  2. Real issues with marking the birds for the national in England. Hopefully the SNFC take note. Update 26th May 2023 12:30pm We have experienced three major incidents that have caused a delay to the planned schedule for the race from Carentan. The first was an administration error on our part which was resolved relatively easily. The second was a marking station not following the correct procedure by starting marking member’s pigeons without the registered vet being present which in turn caused over a 4 hour delay to the onward journey by the transporter. The third problem arose at the final inspection of the consignment by the senior veterinary official. One marking station had failed to follow the correct procedure of the instructions issued to them and their paperwork was not acceptable to the veterinary official and he issued instructions that the whole consignment from that marking station had to be removed from the transporter before he would be able to sign off the remaining documentation for him to forward to the necessary officials. These instructions have now been followed. The transporter has now been rescheduled for a later sailing today arriving in France on Saturday morning. The decision has been made to liberate on Sunday 28th. At present the pigeons have been held in a secure compound overnight and fed and watered and will shortly be making their way to the ferry port for this evenings crossing. A further update will follow this evening or early Saturday 27th.
  3. No problem glad you got the bird home.
  4. Send me the address I am leaving Milton Keynes just now ask the guy if he has a box.
  5. Where in the midlands is your doo?
  6. Young Kyle down in Scarborough has this one coming tomorrow. I think it might be a Lanarkshire bird.
  7. 60 birds from Section E and 26 from F must be the lowest turnout ever. Been horrendous racing into the west for you guys. Seen those GPS tracker maps today it's fighting what is happening to the birds. Lanarkshire will need a degree in geography to work out a route next year.
  8. Drove up from Scarborough just back low cloud but weather was dry and visibility good till Penrith a wee rain shower at Carlisle then visibility was good on the home end. Good luck hope it goes well.
  9. Lanarkshire are at Billericay this weekend pity those doos found in London could get to rounded up and get a lift north.
  10. The Red Arrows will be doing a flypast at Edinburgh tomorrow morning and then heading for Prestwick airport to re fuel. Their route will take them past Carluke (between Law and Carluke) at roughly 11:30 weather permitting.✈ï¸
  11. The red Arrows will be marking 75th anniversary of the ending of the war in Japan VJ day on Saturday 15th with a flypast in Edinburgh,Belfast,Cardiff and London times to be confirmed. Just thought better to give you guys a heads up. Maybe check the red arrows Facebook page for times.
