mine is 22 mins xmus race 1997 .it was my 1st year of racing and the hen just looked down and must have thought you will need to wait your time to GRAB me ya loony. she was beat by 22 min in to 2nd by partnership of primrose and bell .both birds came together jim,s trapped mine did not 3rd bird 6 mins behind mine.
it is easy to put your name to a petition and say thats me done my bit. i am in the process of finding out where petition go to. i will also be asking members of pigeon bacics and other pigeon forums.to do their OWN petition by asking club mates neighbors friends and relatives to put their name to it. all the cost per person taking part would be price of A4 sheet of paper envelope and a stamp. now take a bit of time to imagin if members from this forum and other forums back this. how many names will be put on a petition sheets asking for the control of raptors B.O.P.S.
lost 11 birds last year of loft all the birds where up flying and the fog rolled in of the sea.24 hours or so before i got 1st bird back in loft. birds lost one or two where flying stock the rest had raced yb program and the old birds lost had flow most of ob season.still baffled to this day to where the birds went to
i retired the 2 birds below to stock (all stock fly in and out loft)this pair where broken in last year and flew well enough .but did not win for me 2nd 2nd 2nd always coming from their old loft location.both birds won for the late george logan before i bought them yb,s from them have won club and fed and scored at inland nat level.so better to stock them as good breeders are harder to come by than winners.
if i was still racing i would not be selling any birds that are breding the goods (winners) i would lend them out to mates to help strengthen their team .
looking back on the season .i had a good season with old birds .it could have been better as birds did not start to win till 200 mile .need to cut feeding back more carbs less protein.will also not give birds aimed at nat racing to much racing before hand.yb season things i would change will be to make sure i have transport up to get clock checked before race .
