top class read walter . i have learned a good bit reading the posts. thanks for taking the time to post it.will be making all members of my club aware of this. will also be putting forward a few ideas for jagging club birds next year thanks again.

last year 49 lofts enterd 313 birds.it is a very competitive race. last years winniers b kinear so if the facts of the race stay the same you can count them out of winning this year. as it has never been won by the same fancier 2 years running in the last 19 years. but then again their is always a 1st time.

hears my main reason then their is the prize and pool money at least £500 1st prize.with 1 of the grand daughters showen she can sprint a bit with little training she will be 1 of mine going.i would like to thank STB for his help and advice in giving birds good prep for this race it is danderhall club that runs in and has done so for 19 years.danderhall is member of pentland fed but welcomes members from other feds to the race.

i don,t fancy getting cut open and a bone chipped away. that was crul and painful for that hen.just so she can sit eggs . doing that was wrong without anything for the pain .

had 1 or 2 sore races but done ok at our fed opens. lesson taught was not to lose faith in bird after 1 mistake. spat the dummy out newbury

it is 15 mile from nats to us but a good bit more flying.gogal maps and have a wee look at ayton to wallyford.my yb.s did not go to yb nat this year .with a one loft in our sec might no be going yb nat next year.my ybs did go with my club and fed

we get 15 mile from ayton in most nationals.if we put up 40 birds trainning from their we would be lucky to see them within an hour.

looking very good andy a fair bit space aswell after having a good look think thats only half the loft you have showen us.with the other half that will be the new lofts for another scottish one loft races. :emoticon-0140-rofl: best of luck in racing to it

if we buy any birds at a sale.1 yb/ob has to look bright eyed and looking very healthy.in the hand it needs to be well balanced with good quality feathers. the breeding needs to be good .as buying a bird in for us we need to think how will it help out in breeding .will it help improve birds going in to race team.the fancier needs to have a good reputation .

well done all if i am picking a bird in the top ten then j a g peggie,s bird gets my vote well done good flying. have to agree a one loft race should not be part of the yb national.that my opinion

no thanks yet you have not seen the yb,s the reason their are yb,s at this time is i told keith who has my stock loft in his garden and looks after the stock to take the eggs away from birds sitting. i thought he forgot so went in myself and swapped them for old eggs that where in jug.then keith swapped them back.so we had some hatch

9x1st 10x2nd 5x3rd with a few club and fed trophy,s bagged and 2 x1st feds not a bad season. only a small club with 1st fed 16th open maidstone my best performance this season. big change next year old birds going from natural to roundabout and young birds natural on to darkness well thats the plan. think to bring yb nat forward a week or two would be a good idea.more daylight and weather could be a bit better. glad i am not 1 of the fanciers in the north.all that time breding and prep for race to know your yb,s will not make it on the day and have to spend the night out. then the morning brings pissing rain.
