the decision not to lib birds today i think was the right one. like has been said their was a chance of birds going across the water with eastbourne sitting right on the coast hear is hoping the wind is not as strong tommorow morning.hope it is not monday race as it would be a lot faster .as some of s that have not got e.t.s will have to take time of work or get someone else to clock birds in.

i thought newbury last year was an ok race as i got the all the birds i sent and my club mates done ok at it as well.we are on the east cost near Edinburgh. the bird where in a lot better condision than i expected after 5 days in basket.so they where well looked after.

i am delighted that i did not send dew to work .still pissed off as a lot of mates did and are down a lot of birds .hope they get at least some of them back

most bops hunt in their own territory.so if your bird got taken by a bop on say a training toss .the bop would take it to it,s nest or it,s favorite eating post . if you used this system you should be able to go to where the gprs is transmitting from. then you could

looking at the long range forecast for the race from eastbourne this saturday .broken cloud and a straight NORTH wind 7 to 9 M.P.H .on route for the birds to face.

this is my plan just now but could change . as i have never sent a bird over the water .it would be good to get a time in from over the water in my 2nd year back racing.

i have 2 that done bovingdon that will proberly go also 2 or 3 from my small race team that will go they done ripon 139 mile today and have not missed a race this year.the other 4 or 5 will go to maidstone for the last old bird race on Friday.

i know ravens will giving the chance raid nests and eat young peregrines. i don,t think they will bother pigeons to much .they will however stop bops hunting near them even more so if they have young . their was only one pair on the cliffs last year now up to 4 that must be good as they give peregrines a hard time
