  1. i was wondering as to you thoughts of training yb,s out to as far as 40 mile.this year my yb,s had only 2 at ten mile before the 1st race 60 mile 29 out of 30 home.this week yb,s have had one yesterday from 15 mile . i have changed my training after specking to the late Rab Ritchie last year.he gave his yb,s 2 training tosses at 10 mile before the 1st race thats all the training they had .he went on to win races last year as well as topping the fed from one of them and beat me for yb cup.his theory was the birds have come home from the 1st race 60 mile so why should i train them from 10 20 30 mile ect they know their way home home from 60 son.they don,t need to get stressed out getting put in basket evry day or evry other day they don,t need to run the gauntlet of the f****** hawks. he also said give the yb,s as much flying round the loft as you can.i won,t follow it to the letter but i wont train as much as i did last year 1 maybe 2 per week no further than 15 mile.
