  6. Good Morning Basics members, hope you all have a good day
  7. I'm sure some of the big studs that are prepared to pay a lot of money could benefit from it but I don't think it will really matter to us ordinary folks who wouldn't have the cash that these people are paying for such birds.
  8. RIP Ruby, sincere condolences to the Telfer Family

    Going To Loft

Put on loft coat, mask, scraper and bucket and have a check around and chat with the birds before leaving the loft
  10. Our Daughter has just left to return to London after the Christmas break getting the overnight sailing into Liverpool before the drive down. I think they'll be in for a bumpy night :(
  11. Thanks for that sapper, I have it on the planner to record so I'll have something to watch when I come in from work in the morning

  14. RIP, sincere condolences to your family Stevie
  15. The risk of having the birds on open trap to exercise whilst you are at work during the week has a few risks attached Dan, the local cat being your first problem, annoying neighbours with the birds sitting about the roof just to name a few. I would be taking them for that 17ml toss during the week and arrange for someone to let them in at the home end and then lock them up for the day and the 20ml tosses at the weekend should be okay even if they are then being sent in the opposite direction. Training pigeons is to get the birds fit and if its on the line of flight thats fine but off the line of flight will also teach them to think for themselves and that is just as important in my eyes so good luck with your training whenever you get started.
  16. I'll have to wait till next week then, cheers Alan
  17. He definately was one of the best, up there with Pele and co RIP Eusebio, thanks for the memories
  18. Alan if your talking to Ramsey could you ask him if John Miller is over this week, I have to get a bird down from the Glasgow area ???

  21. Good Morning all, hope you all have a nice day
  22. A 72-year-old man goes for a physical. All of his tests come back normal so the doctor says, "Harry, everything looks great. How are you doing mentally and emotionally? Are you at peace with God?" Harry replies, "God and I are tight. He knows I have poor eyesight, so he's fixed it when I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, poof!, the light goes on. When I'm done, poof!, the light goes off." "Wow, that's incredible," the doctor says. A little later in the day, the doctor calls Harry's wife. "Mrs. White," he says, "Harry is doing fine but I had to call you because I'm in awe of his relationship with God. Is it true that he gets up during the night and poof! the light goes on in the bathroom, and when he's done, poof! the light goes off?" "OH GOOD GRIEF!" Mrs. White exclaims, "He's pissing in the fridge again!"
  23. He's definately been around the block a few times but have to agree Andy he is still very funny and like yourself I have watched him for years and enjoyed his stories :)
  24. Thanks for that Alan, I must plan a wee trip to Asda this week
  25. If it is an actual oil I wouldn't be putting it in my drinker as it will possibly taint the colour of the birds wattles and they'll look as if there is a serious respitory problem in your lofts :emoticon-0138-thinking:
