We'll we all have our stories and reasons for getting hooked on this great hobby but how we build a team of birds that will do all we ask of them is through years of trial and error and even then I don't think we will be totally happy because we will always find something else to improve or conquer just to prove a point to ourselves and others. This is what makes this fascination with our birds so great.

  8. Don't be fooled by the local buzzards plumber, they'll have a go at your pigeons if they're hungry enough, I have seen them on a few occasions attempting to lift pigeons. :o

  11. You could take three Dan but I wouldn't recommend it if your planning to race the bird as well, thats why I suggested taking an early round and then you can play about with the nesting cycle during racing using pot eggs and the odd hatchling.

  18. Giving it a miss this year as we're off to Orlando in July and one of our Daughters will be getting married in September so have to keep the purse strings a bit tight

  21. Too true Walter and sadly theres plenty of them about these days You'll just have to invite Michael over some weekend and both of you have a good few natters over tea/coffee (definately no alcohol as that will cloud the mind lol) and see if anything else of note arises

  25. I think we learn something most days when we spend time observing our birds in and around the lofts, its always handy to have a small note pad and a pen in the pockets of your loft coat.
