  1. I use a breeding mix which contains a variety of maize but I also put bucktons breed & wean in the galley pots in the nest boxes
  2. The only worry I would have about them lying with the wings spread in the rain shower Andy is their like sitting ducks for bops to have a go at them

Gazza there is still plenty of time to get a team of Ybs ready for racing, I haven't even got my birds paired yet. If those 10 eggs all hatch your off to a good start and they'll be a few more to follow. This is a lot better than having an overload of Yb's you gather up to start with and end up with the usual problems with over crowding

Gazza have you had your birds treated or had them checked before pairing up as it does'nt sound right if they have been paired since Christmas and you still haven't any sitting on eggs :emoticon-0138-thinking:

  23. I had this happen last season were two hens nested with the one cock and they all shared sitting the nest but I did remove 2 of the eggs and replaced the other 2 with a pair of eggs from the stock loft. As Walter has advised I would remove one of the eggs but not before I checked they were filling okay after 10 days
  24. You should be able to pick them up at your local corn supplier and their not too costly either
  25. Nice looking hen John, best of luck breeding with her
