The cat didn't get into the loft, there was a gap in the floor where the cat clawed the Yb

As Peter said its a lesson learned and at least you identified the problem and took measures to ensure it wont happen again

Why not report it on the SHU website automated reporting system and as long as you leave the comment block empty you will have the owners details sent to you by e-mail within a few minutes

I myself have done the same in many occasions over the years and knowing that at least I helped these birds a little on their way to get home which I feel happy doing. I know what your saying as regards to some of the pigeons that make it home Walter and how they are treated on their return but as long as you are doing your bit and giving a helping hand to get them on their way is all you can do. So just keep up the good work and hopefully most of the birds are welcomed back to their lofts and treated accordingly

You can have a small bob wire trap on each section door at ground level and an ETS pad if thats what you are going to use on the floor of the said section where the bird would pass over when it enters the section via the open door onto the corridor.
