  1. If it worked last year keep doing it never change a system that works, well done, and they must be well then mate
  2. r you racing widowood then yes it is a good idea, this is what a lot of widdowood flyers do, well most but some dont, and you will need to find a method for yourself, but for me yes its right
  3. then the answer to your question is no, i would feed them when you get them in we always feed a rough estimate to 5 young birds to the plastic feeding cups that you use to feed with the birds in there boxes, feed them in the hooper then when 3 or 4 have come away amnd gone for a drink take the food away, at first they wont eat it all quick enough but when they get used to it and by the time 3/4 come away for water there wont be a lot left, as some young birds will stay eating all day and they will be in control of you when they not hungry and this is not the idea get them under your control
  4. LOL i feel that some times the direction is controled by the size of area, that loft/ lofts can be postioned in as ours is the only way we can get the 2 lofts in my dads back yard
  5. if the pigeons are under control, they come and go when you want to then yes its ok but if they play about when you want them to come in then no, but really depends if you on about old birds that are racing, young birds or just birds that are for your fun and enjoyment or stock with young
  6. race loft north east. young bird south west
  7. i agre mate too early to train young and there aint nothing wrong with them flying along time if they are roaming, but 2 miles is a bit of waste of time if they fly that long after you take them, if i were you would loose them out have there fly then take them after a hours rest training after they have had there fly out and would start at 5 miles,
