had great returnes today 24 out of 24 had loft shut in 15 mins, with hens having there first race of the season, were 1st, 2nd ,3rd in one club and 2nd and 3rd and 6th in other club, really happy

we had a bird came in last year from a fancier in liverpool contacted the guy he said rest it and should come back, after a few days rest he was let out and came back a day later, so was taken up the m6 to help him on his way but low and behold the nest day he returned to us, the guy said transfer him over to us, he had 2 races as a yb and was clocked in to take a minor card, and was stopped, but kept taking his hook and returning hours later, he has kept doing this during the winter season, but kept coming back after a few hours, he has breed one yb wich we hoped would bond him to the loft but friday morning he was let out to have a bath and took his hook for 4 1/2 hours, we decided to send him to the race as one day he would not come back we thought, low and behold he was first bird back and took 2nd club and came like a absolute rocket, stange dont know what to do but now has had 3 races and has had 2 prize card! so must have a good engine, but verry tempremental!!

would never leave my birds for 2 days without somone going in, so get somone else to do it for ya only safe way

i would say widdowood for sprint but a good natural bird trying will be hard to stop from any race point

sorry to say this old boy has been found dead he has been shot and found in my dad's neighbours garden am really gutted now, but at least i now what happend to him, am peed off but nothing can do now, have 2 young birds ready to be weaned of him hopefully one of them will replace him next year

have lost a real good old racer out of the garden today he went for a fly they were away for 45 mins with 5 of the other stock pigeons, the other 5 came back, he wasnt there, hopefully he comes back but he is never had a night out in his racing life, had 4 x 1st from 82 miles up to 226 miles. he is got 2 young in the nest who are 18 days old, hen will be ok for next few days if he doesnt return, but really hope he comes back!!

to be honest mate dont jump the gun let the dust settlke and go and get your dad back helping you all partnerships have disagreements/ fall outs. just agree to disagree and then get your season back on track, Fletch

Allthough this sounds bad, in hindsight it will have learned your ybs a lot and they will be better when they start to fly propperly

dont be to down haerted mate, remember that they are latbreeds and they will be learning these first few races so give them a chance

this is great advice especially so close to first race and being latebreeds too all about confidence with them, i feel the best thing with latebreed is use this first season as a learming curve, try to treat them as babies cus this is what they really are big babies, they will be great for next year if you dont ask to much of them this year,

hope you get them back ours were trained this morning were loosed at 5 to 7 and back in the loft for 20 past on sat got to be early if you have too,

bet on black apalachi 2 months ago at 20-1 but will bet on snowy morning today

just saw Audley Harrison knock michel sprott in the last round with a massive left hand, Sprott was out cold !!! Harrison was losing the fight too
