  1. old hand products sell one eye cold tablets
  2. we only 2 them up as we think it helps them compete against each other also it gives them confidence to trap on race day they get used to not trapping as a team and entering the loft on their own not looking where the rest of the team are
  3. hi coey you may find it hard to get hold of a kit of pure white youngsters but if you get a cock and hen that are pure white you MAY get a pair of pure whites off them but it is not gaurenteed on many occasions i have bred a white youngster and the nestmate as been a dark one thats how i have found it with my busschaerts i once bred 2 white youngsters off a pair of blue pied rapido busschaerts both were 1st prizewinners one topping the fed
  4. hold the bird facing you then you can see the eye clearly
  5. dont know anything about the rules of ets but could you not loop thightly the cable leading to the pads with 2 plastic cable ties looped together then seal the cable to the loft this way you would not damage the pads and could even remove the pads from the loft until you need it so as to keep it dust free just a thought
  6. it would be interesting to know just how many reported birds are actually wanted back by the owners even if some do send for them just to comply with the rules my opinion is that we should have a unwritten rule that we stamp them with a DR for dont report or a R for report we personally report all birds that are wing stamped and it is so annoying to be asked if we can throw it up without them even asking the condition of the bird this year we have reported 20 odd birds with only 2 being sent for also i must admit that i have asked the reporter if they could keep it until fit and give it another chance to make it back on its own
  7. yes i agree it was a rule introduced when only toulet clocks and other makes were used so if you went over the 23 hours you could not tell which day you had clocked now the date is printed but unfortunatly puncture clocks are still in use so maybe the rule should be change to accomodate for these clocks
