There has since been further announcements too from DEFRA and Peter Bryant. What you've quoted isn't the most accurate update. Was updated earlier today

Woul maybe agree - but young pigeons often take a tad longer to come down. Having said that, the Bobby Dazzler hen (2006 pigeon) that we've mated with Assassin at the moment was down in 8 days. Very much horses for courses though.

If they're 2006 pigeons then patience is a virtue. We'd normally pair them in February
