  1. Anyone esle see the BICC alternative race programme in the book this week? Sennen Cove, off into Southern Ireland, then up to Elgin and Thurso !!! That's my idea of ........... "adventurous"
  2. I'd only be concerned if it was in my immediate vicinity to be honest. Then you might get a bit of what is perceived as "over reaction". Apart from that, I think we'll be fine.. All the official word is that we're ok
  3. "Cod" I susepct you're trying to wind me up!! ;D ;D
  4. Cod Master - I know who you are !!! ;D ;D No worries mate, I'm sure you/we will be ok UP THE BAGGIES
  5. Superleeds - you are right, but some Feds have got it right. Aberdeen Fed start onm 29th April - BANG ON!

  7. Forgot to say... Send me a PM if you're interested... Cheers Mike
  8. Hi... We always like to winter the odd spare hen here & there - we find it does no harm in case of any problems with pairing up. Now all this has been sorted we have ONE surplus 2004 M & D Evans Vandenabeele hen on our hands, & to be honest she is a belter. There is nothing wrong with her in any regard - she's a very tidy hen indeed. Her Sire is "Mansell" - Direct son of Benetton x Saffron - M & D Evans's No.1 Stock Hen. Mother of this 2004 hen is "Cassie" our direct daughter of Jester x Carrie. Both parents to this hen have bred winners with numerous different mates for us and others. This is a really genuine hen - not offered for sale because there's anything wrong with her. She's in the YB pen with the babies, & to be honest I'd rather her go and do a good job for someone. PRICE : £175.00 - see www.lycettlofts.co.uk for more details Cheers MIke
  9. Perk I'm sure they'll thank you for it in due course. Ours haven't seen the basket yet either and we start next Saturday!
  10. Same answer as on UNC Jock ! ;D
  11. Speckled.... I could have dropped a bigger hint ... 30th APRIL !!! ;D ;D ;D
  12. We always used to have our first race at theend of april. My birthday is end of april - hence the reason I remember. Also, 1st race was also FA Cup Final day. We move earlier everyb year & it aint good. Oursaint been in the basket yet either

  15. I'd look at www.eijerkamp.com
  16. Huysken Van Riel !
  17. Saleman.. There's times when we all probably get wound up by remarks made on here. There's some remarks made on other threads that do'nt best please me, so I don't visit those threads. That being said, it'd be a shame to stop visting the site 'cos there's plenty going on.. Mike
  18. Saleman What's wrong with a debate on the issue?
  19. I honestly don;t know whether it got passed through the back door in Scotland or not - you lads up there know far better than me on that matter. As for the actual discussion on ETS and its realtive merits/pitfalls - well I agree with Hyacinth, there's no harm in letting the debate run its natural course. The subject is part of the "political" side of this forum and this sport & you'll always get contrasting views. As long as they don't get personal then I don't see any problem in letting the debate run. It doesn't detract from the forum having a healthy debate - in fact it enhances the forum. I know one or two lads who've joined in recent days solely to tune in to this particular thread
  20. More words of wisdom Blue Chequer 8) ;)
  21. We speak the same language Tony
  22. Linda - technically of course you are right.. In practice it doesn't happen though. In our town there used to be one club sending 8900 birds in the town. Now there's 900 birds leaving between 5 clubs. Colin - Too right you never had to alter your ofts - but look at the big picture - 95% of lofts down here WOULD have to
  23. www.weatherpigeon.co.uk Get on it after 08:30 on a saturday morning. Also, if you choose the "links" option from thatp age you'll find plenty of interesting stuff
  24. ETS favours the guys who can get 6 or 8 to drop together. All those birds recorded instantly against x amount of seconds to time in manually. In theory you say "well get better pigeons to compete" but the REALITY is members leave the Sport or go and form other clubs. How can that be good for the Sport? Someone please tell me that... Someone? Anyone?? Any takers?? Anywhere????
