just passing the sad news on of the passing of my uncle and mentor jim whitson of jand g whitson fame he passed away last night peacefully after a short illness my thoughts are with my aut cousins and all the grandkids at this time

i was made redundant in 2010 and for the fist tie went to the dss in broxburn the treatment i rcieved was appalling all the time watching a steady supply of people coming in and being handed money i got heehaw in three months and got myself a job i will never set foot in one again . i mentioned here yesterday have stopped racing and for over a year my birds are on open bole i feed with the cheapest feed and apart from yearly vaccinations they get fresh water with gerdon i in it i have never had birds in such good condition i control the feed so they are not feral the only time i shut the trap is if it is howling a gale dont have many birds around a dozen as i would never kill them they are never out of the sky and to date have no hawk injuries have had calls from fanciers passing the house telling me they are streaking across the sky i know it wouldnt work for everyone cats and vermin etc but they get nowt just a thought are we too soft on them nowadays ?

no and my birds have never looked better dont have many no hawk attacks either and thats been over a year mate

hi folks its george johnstone from newbridge dont fly any more but still have birds spotted two in the loft today both with ets first one is su16nw3669 blue bar second one is su16sb21 blue bar white flight my birds are on 24 hour a day open bole so dont know how long they have been there sorry if anyone can help and i will get them home cheers
