To be honest Roland until now I really haven't gave it much thought but I explained the situation to my neighbour about the bop and pigeon. And told her they are protected she asked whom by I said the rspb .in her reply why not sent them the veterinary bill

SERIOUS QUESTION as we all no that bop are protected by the RSPB now surely if a bop badly injured our pigeons we should be able to make a small claim against them for veterinary treatment if receipts are provided
  5. Don't no much about Coldstream guys but I do no for certain their is 5 nest sites from Alnwick upto Dunbar so if we get a wester well the birds are running the gauntlet.....maybe thats why they head out to safety and come in roughly crail again its .Anstruther again its just my personal opinion
  6. I'm led to believe from the local villagers of Aberdour defra has been called twice once to several sands and black sands .as their has been dead birds lying around. With no obvious answers
  7. Thans to Craig & Charlie for your help ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
  8. Can anyone help me get a pigeon from clarkston to either coxydenne or Edinburgh much appreciated
  9. You got a crystal ball tommy have PMA we will get racing 😊🤞
  10. Natural
  11. Good point that del . This is not the first time I've noticed they seem to fly better from middle of September. I just didn't no why as I always thought in the young birds season feed light and they fly for ages my feeding from the end of the last yb race is been 50%beans and they fly alot better 🤷â€â™‚ï¸
  12. Hi can any of the fancy explain to me why in the months june July and August my young birds didn't fly for long even though they were feeding was Gerry plus...now since the middle of September I put them on a alrounder and gradually added tic beans now they are on 50% very heavy mix but they are flying much better 45 minutes or more ranging more ......anybody got the answer
  13. Get well soon kevin
  14. Thank you it's much appreciated
  15. snap andy for those reasons I stopped young birds
  16. I'm just talking in general in seasons gone by. This season has been a nightmare for race controllers etc
  17. Derek it's happening all over the uk for example fife fed and kingdom fed alot of the time they are at the same race point .liberating a few hundred each it's not rocket science that we should be just 1 fed .and it's the usual sh** politics in the sport that's killing it not bop even though they have some percentage
  18. Do you use loft white on the floor
  19. It's a no brainer to go to alnwick next week instead of jumping them to ripon well done fife fed..officials ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
  20. First of all did you liberate them altogether or in small batches? And the most important thing for all fanciers in the uk why do we think we can train and race our young birds in late July and August when all falcons / hawks are training their own babies to kill .I myself have witnessed them male above hen below catching them and releasing them for the babies too catch. Imo its suicidal
  21. We could have a decent convoy of pigeons. Cining into fife once again .yes theres lots to sit down and talk about the way forward. REQARDING both fed officials. But I'm sure we can work something out .without all the arguments.
  22. My personal opinion is short and sweet Is it not about time in the sport that the fife fed and kingdom fed got back together as one fed for a numerous reasons let bygones be bygones and draw a line in the sand without all the politics involving the problem and let's move forward
  23. Well done matt
  24. As the saying goes if you dont like the race point dont send keep them at home until the next race ... my personal feeling is racing at this time of the year is suicidal. As for every bop nest from the race point you have falcons killing everything that moves in the skies as they are teaching their babies
  25. Reason I think this .at the weekend both feds in fife had absolutely disasters from berwick upon tweed and coldstream. Some members only flying 47 mile to 57 mile . Now I no we cant help bop strikes but the weather was westerly. But I think there was a touch of south which in my opinion because of the distance I dont think the young birds put the brakes on and would fly right over fife .but it's only my own opinion
