Suns now out in the real west , pi@@in all morning since 6am , thought I was up to 10/12 ,but forgot a yearling cock so it's a poor 9/12 , 75% returns from 190 miles is not good , well I was told by good old fanciers (now dead) don't worry about the ones lasts lost ,concentrate on the ones that are home .

  6. Glasgow and South Lanarkshire with approx 2200 birds up at 06.20 from wetherby in a west wind . Dundee away at 06.00 at ripon . East of Scotland (rpra) away at 06.00 at wetherby Big Lanarkshire were going at 6.30. From thirsk.

  12. Thanks Jamie ,I always try to help get birds back home , I've got them back to as far away as Wales and North London . I wish more would help each other out far too dear for couriers .birds do make mistakes even top birds be it Hawks or clashing .or weather
  13. I've now had 6 tosses not once have they been on time or all together from 10 miles to 30 miles , I'm getting a batch then a few to half a dozen straggling in lost 6 and one very nice 2yr old cheq cock been hawked . Think this year WILL Finnish off a good few over this neck of the woods .

Happened to us last year Ricky or the year before we were the only ones in the sky and got a doing , last week we were last to go up into our area ,your thinking Percy,s been fed with others ,wrong, we got a dodgy one and all that went before us got decent races . Your right about the sport it's now in the end game IMHO .

  21. Most guys in my club use Bricon and all say it's a great system , I have unikon. I've had a few problems with it like rings ,race birds one year the following year they are not recognised ,and I've been told you can re assign a new ring on the night ,but haven't a clue how to do it ,and no one I know knows either but the Bricon guys can do this no probs I still like my unikon it has a bigger screen to read your arrivals from ,handy if your eyes aren't the best . The other pain in the er se is the annual update with Unikon .
  22. Latest weather forecast not looking good for a race this weekend here in Scotland ,both sat and Sunday windy and rain . Hope it changes between now and then .
