  1. robert weve all tried the west route and lanark did it 2 years ago and had an egm to change back east during the season as they were gettin gutted , the only feed still going down the west are midland and hoody and big del know the score on that one

  3. you another alexandria member as well ? lookin for excuses
  4. i think you should fly with midland fed and see how there racing goes down that way . maybe years ago not for 15 years or so ,as the bop just have a field day , i have raced from the east for years and its only when you get to the otterburn area that the races get a bit dodgie ,and your wanting to start there :-/ :-/ :-/
  5. just to make a point tam cockenzie is directly on the forth so they probably be over the forth within seconds of liberation ,maybe you should check your map .
  6. well racing from east to west hasent done the glasgow boys any harm in national races in both the snrpc and the snfc ,some outstanding performances with both old birds and young birds .and fair play im further west than you and it does,nt stop my birds topping the fed ,maybe the alexandria boys should try a wee bit harder .
  7. a very good friend of mine in greenock was very close to mel and actually swapped birds with mel ,but i would say jim cameron would probably have the best and jim doesnt kill birds very often he just builds a new loft/section when he needs the room. ps im sure mel had a lot of van der espt pigeons .

    yearlings

just my honest opinion but ALL birds are different all mature at different times even in the same family some can win and win well as young some can win as yearlings at 400 plus miles and some maybe not mature until 2,3 or sometimes 4 years old (patience is a virtue ) ps im only talking about long distance birds as i have found that sprinters mature very very quickly

    yearlings

i hear all you,se champs on here saying if yearlings cant do this and that their rubbish ,i would like to ask one question how many yearlings in loft and how many go to 450 -500 miles ,i would think around 5%-10% of yearlings ,me i would send to 500 plus miles no probs but maybe only one or two out of 20 and only if their 100% fit healthy and ready to do it ,not just send and hope jmo
  16. im pretty sure cricket umpire dickie bird raced pigeons as well , neil mcCann ex rangers, hearts, dundee, southhampton, and still with falkirk and now a sky sports pundit and good friend of mine raced with his father in my old club .

if you didnt know there is/ was a marking station at muirhead glasgow (im not sure if the birds now get transported down to crewe to be race marked) the man in the know is frank dooman he ran the marking station last year , i also would love a go ,if only they f@@king hawks would leave my birds alone maybe 2011
