  1. just checked the lastest forecast tomorrow looks ok but they will encounter heavy showers ,if they wait till saturday it will be a fairer race for all every fancier will have a chance of getting pigeons .if it were me i would wait till saturday .
  2. well then if so how many ?
  3. Is there naw a marking station at Kilmarnock as well Andy ?
  4. Sent 3 big man 2x. 3 yr olds. And a 4 yr old this is the 6th time across the water for the 4 yr old , the 3 rd time for one of the 3 yr olds and the other is first time accross
  5. Around 300 at Newhouse ,I was last in at 19 .56 pm phew i just made it .
  6. I spoke to paddy tonight he's very happy to get this one reported ,it's won quite a few races including Penzance 330 miles 2 yrs ago ,he lost it from there this year ,he asked me if I wanted to keep it if he could not get a courier I told him no it can stay here free bed and board until he gets it sorted way John Miller . Good pigeons can get lost as well .
  7. i would def go for this 100%
  8. forgot to add the most successfull snrpc race is ARRAS fantastic race point and every year great returns ,well up till now touch wood .
  9. FAR TOO EASY MALCOLM (but it doesnt suit their loft location ) thats all that matters to some, fk its not rocket science is it ?
  10. we had bad ones as well from there as well , if u look at recent years in the snfc gold cup take reims(eastern france) a few years ago great race good returns , then u had messac western france disaster , to me to be fair you have to think of keeping happy medium .the downside from eastern france is if the wind is strong from the west then of course you will have some/a lot run up the coast into belgium and holland ,look at the ypres race since its inception its been a fantastic race although this year wasnt as good return wise, i get mad when i read fanciers wanting to race from here or there because it suits them ,expletive remove why not just race from where we get GOOD RACES ? EVEN IF IT DOESNT SUIT YOUR LOFT LOCATION ?
  11. colour means nowt to percy , i trained 26 a few weeks ago ,colour breakdown 2 reds 2 mealy,s 4 cheq pieds (quite a bit of white) 1 white griz(although it will moult into a dark griz) 1 dark griz 2 blue pies 3 blue bars 1 black pied (not much white)the rest half blue cheqs and dark cheqs. 2 percies had a go the one the got hit (then got away) was a dark cheq also a blue got some tail feathers taken out .so as ive said colour means nowt its yer luck ,althought if i had 30 y/bs and had only one red/mealy then yes this would stand out or for that matter a pied .
  12. couldnt agree more especially doing away with the first one ,because like its been for the last 2 yrs a bad race with poor returns then yes it does affect the main race ,an inland national a week before the main race is ok with me as no one would send there gold cup doos to that race, but they prob do to the first ,even if it turns out a poor race then it still would not affect the big one ,expletive remove its not rocket science is it ?

  19. Just back from training my national birds and noticed a red coloured pigeon at lying at side of road in port Glasgow ,I stopped to have a look ,I picked it up and found it was still alive so I put it in a basket and took it home , it's been hit by a car and was so bad I put it put of its misery ,on further look its been hawked as well ,talk about being unlucky , the ring number is SU. 12. 2977. Any takers ?
