  13. Mine are the same ,least movement in the sky no what type of bird and they go like hell, when they land they run into the loft out of harms way, going to be a bad season for a lot of good fanciers. Lindsay.

  19. Could do with a few more like him, would love the help of a young fancier, being on my own I'm not to keen of leaving the lofts unattended when training ,that's one of the reasons In my own mind that training is kept to a minimal which to be true I know is wrong.Hopefully someone will come along before young bird training gets in full swing. Well done young Dathan and congratulations to his father. Lindsay.
  20. Very sorry about this tragic event,my heartfelt sympathy. God Bless. Lindsay
  21. Hi Tony, wouldn't you do the same ,not bad pulled out of a basket and a young hen put in front of you, next week please.LOL ;D ;D ;D Lindsay
  22. In the area I live in the federations are all the clubs within a boundry,ie.Silloth to Harrington (Derwent Valley) The Combine is other federations united.Derwent Valley,East Cumbria,West Cumbria and Barrow in Furness feds. Lindsay
  23. I have a 24 bird basket in my young bird loft, when the youngens are put through the flap is left open for them to sleep in or whatever, once they start perching the straw is removed and the flap closed.I then use the basket to get them use to going in and out of it and feeding in it,but just a small handfull of black rape.Open the flap throw in the rape and you have 90% of your youngens in the basket, also take the drinker out of the loft and put drinkers on the basket,it works for me. Lindsay
  24. Hi Pete, probably rubbish mate, but then again who knows for sure,I think it's probably excitement/nerves and having feed in their crop that will make them throw up.I have at the moment got some young birds that a scared of heights but I'm sure it's just youth and nerves. Lindsay
  25. This post should be called FATAL,if you pick one out your more or less guaranteed to loose it.I got six of Stan the Man,all favourites I got twelve off Willie 60,all favourites and a team of my own ,have a guess, yes all favourites and that's how it's staying till the last young bird race. Remind me at the end of the season and with a bit of luck I'll put a few photo's up. Lindsay.
