My old man use to grate carrots onto the loft floor , the pigeons use to know what was going on and fight to get near his feet.Must be something they liked ?? I'm sure it wasn't his clogs.

There are some good small digital camera's on the market for very liitle money,I think I paid about £65 for mine,... Samsung 10.1 mp S1050. It just depends on what sort of money you want to spend.. Back gardens a bit of a mess two bins emptied onto it,got most of it sorted lofts and house are OK. that's the main thing,must have been a warm wind the lofts and the birds droppings are bone dry.

Tossers the lot of them,there is not many things that really annoy me but they do, conning the uneducated public with their collection tins to protect BOP. Lindsay

At the mo. they are on 33% Beans,33% HP economy,33% Barley,they are moulting well,once the are about finished I will increase the Barley to 66% or more until about two week before I pair up then I'll add extra HP.Once the birds have laid they'll be back on Beans and Barley.At this time I will canker them.Then a week before they hatch,start with a breeding mix + extra blue peas and Beans.Plenty grit and pickstone.They are confined to the loft till I pair them up,I think they drive better if they have a bit of freedom.

Hi Andy, looking at the eye of the pigeon it's not a race bird,if it had of been there would also have been another ring with the birds origin on it, ie. GB,SU,WHU and so on,it looks like some type of fancy breed such as a pouter, I might be wrong,are there any pigeon men local to you,have you seen any pigeons flying about in your area? Does it look anything like the ones in the link. Lindsay

Very cold East wind ,starting to cloud over some roads blocked in the Lakes with snow ????

All settled after last nights strong wind and heavy rain,cold though. Rain blown through door louvres that was the first job this mo. all sorted now ,coffee time.

Mine love brown bread,it is something my late father use to give the birds ,it was his theory that if the birds had a bad water race and were out,if they got chance of a piece of bread it might help them get home. I buy Warburtons Wholegrain,only bread worth buying IMO. The birds get the two end crusts. They get peanuts during the racing season. They also get Black Rape,especially the young birds.

Just had House special Chow Mein from the local Chinese,£5:70,can hardly bloody move at the mo,PPPPEEEEEEEERRRRRRFFEEECT

Hi mate,I use them after treating for anything,especially when the birds have had wet droppings.I give them to the birds on returning from a race,also when breeding maybe two or three times a week.There are a few on the market I opted for Electro B.
