  13. While they are flying ,once down unless they are having a bath they go in.If they've had a bath they are allowed time to lay on the garden and dry , I stay with them all the time.

  15. I was training on the West Cumbria Fed transporter on Saturday,the birds returned OK.but no big batches as expected.A red cock was the last to return and appeared OK. They went again yesterday and when basketting I noticed he had four outer tail feathers missing. The convoyer told the lads basketting that the birds were hit with two Peregrines on liberating Sat. Several experienced birds are reported missing. Liberated Muncaster.Same reports from Haverigg. :emoticon-0179-headbang: :mad:

Wouldn't think about the light system,I've flew darkness young birds for the past four or five years,I might revert to the natural this season,never seam to be able to keep them healthy,probably lack of ventilation over night ??.If I open the loft up any more It will be to mop out when it rains. Thought about potting a couple of chimneys on,that might be the answer. :animatedpigeons:

  22. Good post,I have noticed the ones in the top nest boxes are tamer young birds,maybe because they get handled more and have more access to you visually when they are very young.I use widowhood fronts.
