Walter,to be honest mate,it's the best thing I ever done as regards pigeons, infact there was one on ebay going for an old song I bought it just for a spare. There's a benzing on now,for peanuts. Lindsay PS. From up your way Perth.
If you plug the club system in the previous night or before 08:00hrs on basketing day you should be OK. as long as you do not disconnect the system ie. turn the power off, they will hold the radio signal until marking the birds GPS users are OK.
Like fanciers say, they like to see a buzzard round the loft, there was one right above my pigeons when percy hit them, might have been better if the buzzard hadn't been there and their minds might have been on the job.
Last one just back,no marks that I can see,it's the marks that are not visible that I worry about, weather's nothing special for the next couple of days(East wind and drizzle) so rest is on the cards, both for me and the birds.
Same here mate, think I'll race what's left of the old birds if that's possible, the few youngens that I have will hopefully get raced and that's me done with racers. I have a couple of things in mind but that's close to my chest at the mo.
Two more missing, birds exercising well, buzzards above them the hit by two F*****G peregrines, been gone a hour now ? Looks like the only time they'll get out now is in the basket.expletive remove
