Things are never going to get any better. When you have a select few doing what they want, how they want, when they want theres only ever going to be disaster. These people think they own the fed and they are the fed and other members are just their to fund the bill's. They make their own rules up and don't abide by what's been passed at the agm. If it so difficult to even get the results each week how do you expect anything else to go smoothly? The fed wagon is used as a training vessel for the longer races.
-
Surely the wagon driver will know if they hung about. When the controllers is determined for libs around 8 am there is always a risk of there being obstacles in the sky, especially after the heat then rain the night before.

Birds were liberated at 8.30 in a light sw wind.

Aberdeen fed are basketing 24 hrs earler, for a lib friday due to bad weather forcast.

You trying to say it took 50 years of experience to get lucky on a short race? Does your club only tell you to come on here when you have a good race? Does no one say anything about him clearly breaching the things passed at the agm? Or do you think he can do what he likes as he's got 50 years experience? Bit like yourself isn't it, you give the results out a week after the race and say any objections in writing within 7 days of the date on the sheet, yet you keep it for 5 days and give them for 5 days but let your friends know earlier. You think that's acceptable? You think your any better than other fed members? I won't hold my breath for answers as you never have them, you just keep hiding in your caves and pop your head out when you feel you have a reason to say things went right. But the fact is there are rules you and the other shadow hugger are suppose to abide by and if yous can't even stick to the rules, yous are pointless and inadequate which is clear for all to see.
-
Come out from the shadows and do what was passed at the agm, if you aren't capable,or willing to do what the members passed surely you shouldnt be in control of the birds any longer?

I have always found your dad to be a pleasant man, it’s not his fault he was left unable to say for definite where they was going, these cross wires are why it was voted for more transparency at the meeting. Some fed members knew the decision to possibly come back to tow law had been discussed, where other members didn’t so wasn’t privileged to that knowledge. I personally didn’t send in case of an holdover, if I was aware the option of coming to tow law if ripon not good enough and there being no holdover was the option being spoken about I would of sent, so in reality by there being no proper communication as voted and only certain members being privileged with the information has prevented birds being sent. Hope your returns are good and your dad has a safe journey home. ATB Anthony

Who’s blaming your dad? Read the posts and you will I say even the drivers mind was confused, how is the driver to know when no one really knew where they was going? No one should have any confusion simple as. I asked you when you knew for definite as, even the driver wasn’t sure and surely he should of known and not been left unsure? I guarantee no club I’m a member of left that confusion simple.
-
There may be no confusion there in your mind but, there certainly is in a few fed members minds, seems even the drivers mind. Was it not passed at the agm for more transparency and more updates to the race? Posting the lib has been done is not satisfactory. Some fed members seem to know more than others and that’s not correct. So, you and the other fed members should be grateful you have no confusion as it’s not a good feeling to have.
-
When was this confirmed as definitely the race point please? As when at silver city the driver was going to tow law, then mastrick it was heading to ripon but could be tow law. Another fed member says he was told Friday it was going to be tow law. There shouldn’t be any confusion really.
-
That is common sense. Majority of our fed members have been told since Friday the race point has changed, we basketed yesterday and the driver told the first club he’s going to tow law, then comes to our club and says ripon. Some members didn’t send their birds because it was ripon, if they had known on Friday or before basketing that it had come closer, like the rest of the fed, they would of sent. This problem was addressed at the agm and passed. Where ever the lib is, I hope who sent has good returns.
-
be Interesting to see where the lib is from today, at the mystery race. Pointless having an agm if the people don’t stick to what is passed.
-
Have any other feds, who was due to race from ripon today, delayed their lib until Sunday from ripon?
-
Might see the lib on tv, if we put the horse race on.

Technology and pigeons seems to be A odd combination, most fliers are of the non technological era, you try to introduce things technical and members simply say no, I don’t understand technology and it’s stopped in its tracks. Whilst speaking about technology, I read about devices tracking birds costing around £100 per unit and can’t be tracked on route, i have recently purchased a tracking devices that works via txt messages to a SIM card in the device, it’s small enough it would sit on the birds back, like cameras do, for a fraction of that price. I’m not technical and don’t know how to use it or attach it to a bird but, if anyone who is technical enough to do it, I would gladly sent it to them to look at, if viable for our birds, I would gladly purchase more and provide a few to a few lofts that understand how to use them. If your paying a price for something and find it at least half price somewhere else, why wouldn’t you buy it cheaper? Through a false sense of some loyalty to a organisation?

There was only 2 members in the club that sent extras, maximum 15 each, majority sent 25-30 each week, I sent the limit once, The ones who did send extras, didn’t win most of the races.
-
I raced in Liverpool last year and had a bird limit of 32, you could send as many extras you liked, at a price per bird and the extras wouldn’t count on the result. We had up to 15 members sending each week and had good birdcage and enjoyable racing, some clubs now only have a few members so would be sendin small birdage, if there was a limit, smaller clubs joining together and having a bird limit would be a good move.

Your welcome mate, as long as you got your birds sade that’s all that matters, we was glad to help. Thank you for the chocolates ;-) ATB Anthony

Looks like the weather has blew the point straight over your head, why go onto a pigeon site, see a recent post regarding pigeons but decide to post something that is irrelevant to pigeons at this time of year? Each to their own but that’s a fact being pointed out you seemed to of taken offence to that fact somehow, but it doesn’t change it being true just because you don’t like it. Ps, Xc weather will tell you the weather in Doncaster, it’s a weather site.
