  1. I have met a couple of people off this site around 2007/8. a man called racer, he is from runcorn and i bought some ybs and shelves off him. i met a man at the blackpool show 2008 and collected a clock and some d.v.d's, i had bought from him on this site. cant recall his name, he had a stall on the top balcony, on the back wall, close to the stairs. i also remember an amazing gentleman called jimmy, cant recall his surname, he was from east or west lothian, i think. he gave me some lovely ybs and alot of help at the time. I am unsure if these people are still on this site, or if they would remember me, after 5 years. however, if they do i am sure they could tell anybody what sort of person they consider me to be.
  2. his name is tommy mate, from by rock ferry.
  3. hi. this gentleman wasn't being nasty in anyway. he hadn't raced pigeons in a while but kept a few of his favourite birds and has reduced them over time. he thought he could get rid of a few more but, regretted it almost straight away. he has kindly promised to put the same birds together to give me some ybs from. i fully respect this man and his decisions. i live in walton liverpool. i am not a member of a club just yet and i dont really know many people who race pigeons, just my dads mate and my uncles brother in law. they both fly in the riverside club, i was a member of this club in 2007/8 although i haven't spoken to these men for a couple of years, if anyone has the opportunity to speak to them they will be able to offer answers to any questions, about me. if anybody local would like to come and see my loft, they would be very welcome.
  4. your correct, there mate :-). well unfortunately i wont be able to put any pics up, as just receive a call from my mate, saying the person has had second thoughts an could i let them go. so, back to no birds for the time being. glad my lad didn't see them first.
  5. thanks guys. as soon as my lads home from school, will post some pics.
  6. just collected my first birds off a gentleman in birkenhead. :-) i have 4 pairs to breed from, looking forward to showing my son.:-) I will put some pics up later.
  7. so, it would be best for me to find people selling young birds and start from there? i did keep pigeons, when i was younger, aged 10 to 14, these was for a bit of enjoyment and consisted of stray birds me and my mates had caught at local parks and the town centre. we would report the birds to be collected, hoping to be told we could keep it and surprisingly enough the majority of people let us, inadvertantly keeping us away from railways and other dangerous places young lads like to play around.
  8. hi, thanks. would this years birds be able to breed this year, for next years young birds? i live in liverpool
