i can't thank kevin enough for these birds and the bits of advice, he has given. i was looking forward to racing ybs next season and hoped my lad would gain abit more interest once they begin flying. but, the eagerness he is showing this early, is a great pleasure and makes next season more to look forward to.

he enjoys them alot. likes the hens better as they are littler. hes looking forward to blackpool but, i must admit, hes asked about going the arcades a few times lol.

my son and I, would like to thank KEVIN ELLIOT for his kind offer of 3 pairs of old birds to breed off. they was collected today by delivery solutions scotland, although the turned up at kevin's with no boxes, and delivered to myself in liverpool at 11pm. these birds are our first birds to get us going and are very much appreciated. will add pics tomorrow.

i have 2 sections so, maybe try something different in each 1. scraping doesn't bother me, quite enjoy it to be honest, was thinking if the birds will have bedding on the bottom of the baskets, would it not be a good idea to have the same on the loft floor? i actually have to have two pairs of shoes, a pair i leave in the house and change into my garden pair, walk to the loft and change to my loft pair, not allowed dirty shoes on kitchen floor, strict orders haha
-
last time i had a loft, in 2008, i always scraped the floor daily. i have now been reading about some sort of bedding being placed on the floor. is this cleaner, than scrapping? how often does it need changing and whats the best type to use? any help on these questions, would be appreciate. thank you,Anthony.

what an enjoyable read and well asked questions. puts a few subjects in one. well done lads. -
hope your birds are back home soon. all the very best for the future. hopefully, their houses will burn down, whilst they are in bed. think its called karma ;-)
-
thanks mate. just let me know when is best to suit you. if possible a weekend as i have my son of a weekend. he likes to look at the different coloured birds. i had a section of my old loft for him to keep his own set of birds in 2008 and he was only interested in his coloured ones, haha.
-
thank you for your offer mate, very generous. i am just looking to race pigeons. my son did use to have faintail doves last year but, couldn't really put the effort in, think he just liked the look of them. if you have a spare hour or two one day, it would be appreciated if i could bring my son to see your birds, if not too much bother.
