If,Bigpete a club has offered to let you in regardless of the drag as they say being against you ,a good wind working in your direction can be a big help ,so go with that club IMO and give yourself a chance to look around ,and it will get you started ,goodluck

I did use sand an lime but it played hell with my breathing,so all i do is scrape every day ,if you then put a few handfulls chicken bedding ,it gathers round the walls of the loft and its all fine and dry ,I clean all this out once every 2-3 weeks.

So on saying this the only way forward is through the courts ,and push for change in law.As well as hawk problems i have crows that try to take my youngsters in mid air,as well as the ferral cats ,i should be allowed the right to protect my stock imo.

Ok so if people were taking things into their own hands and doing something about it ie sorting out their own areas by whatever means it takes ,will Feds & Unions come forward and pay the fanciers fines if they get caught !!

It is imo that through the press and media that the pigeon fraternity have to educate the public ,instead of giving all the time to charity approach magazines,local and nation wide papers ,even if it has to be paid to put good informative articles about our sport into the wider public domain,and on doing this we might raise some simpathy to our on going problems with the birds of prey ,the public if they dont know anything about pigeon fanciers need to be informed.

Nothing changes i am inclined to agree about losses hardly any birds are lost if you ask fanciers about returns but they still buy and fill 40--70 rings per year ,strange goings on eh??????

Sunny but chilly just now training toss later on i think.

Sunny start to the day here little or no wind.

I had a training toss on Tuesday ,14 mile ,obviously something split them up ,lost 2 hens out of 21 up got 4 after 30 mins then nothing for 2 hrs they came back in singles from 1.30 until 6.30 at night ,and i got 2 next morning ,am i right in thinking if birds staying up untill that time they must be fit yes???
