So what i see by your answer is any new ideas could be stopped from going through to FED meeting at the club level ,so any new ideas would or could be put down before they get off the ground.

As a matter of interest ,prior to AGM clubs meet up to decide on proposals if on the event a individuals idea was not accepted by his club can he still lodge his proposal as a member to the Fed by letter to be brought up and voted on at Agm And is it not the case only proposals given to the FED 14 days prior to meeting can be taken in to consideration at a AGM ,I am asking these questions purely to educate my self on procedures (seeing i dont attend them )not for any hidden agenda .

Aye what Dave does regards strays is a good thing keep up the good work .

This will be grand doos for some starter for breeders .

Ok GRD Limit on rings just a idea how about charge more for rings from the fed ,hows that for covering cost of transporter use ,still waiting for your ideas ,experience,and knowledge ,to kick in no thoughts ??

GRD, I have always liked the idea of starting races later ,and as for youngsters 6 short races fine and work out some system to charge for any lost expense incurred from flyers ( not popular ) but why should transporter in some races fail to break even.The whole thing is ye can quiz me as much as you like but at the end of the day you must have an opinion or ideas lets here from you but i have a feeling Rolands right you just want to pick holes my friend and add nothing constructive to the debate.

Secret ballot (after thought by me ) not what was meant ,Postal vote on any changes to be made just for the fact very few turn up at AGM me included lucky if 30/40 out of entire membership turn up to decide on proposals we all non voters i am sure have their own reasons ,this or these threads have came from a post as you know of young bird losses and is it time for change IMO yes to what ,well my last post shows my train of thought .

As i say in my post i dont pretend to have the answers or proposals in my post its all suposicion ,see what others thinks ,but you canna get past the point in your post directed to me of FED and AGM because other than that i shouldnt have an opinion in your waay of thinking ,well i think you should look up the meaning of open forum because laddie i will have my opinion regardless of you ,i might be wearing the way of 70 and of poor health but my manners hinna left me best regards .

Ok Roland i am up for change ,adjust your sails what do you suggest , Breed less (limit rings) dont train ,limit birds sent to a race ( god !! we cant do that it hints of fairness ) dont race young birds out ie ,pick a race point 80 mile out and send for same race point for 6 weeks ( education ,not racing out for the sake of nationals with young doos ) i am afraid now adays birds are bred to compensate for losses.I dont pretend to have the answers but there is some that are not up for change ,sayings like its always been this way from a large majority stop change.

God i canna answer that question but tae all the lads that never lose a doo and have full returns at end of race ask them ,because there is plenty of them gan about LOL ,aye and thats in all Feds.

You will never have that problem Fifer about 8000 rings come out on our Fed each year and sare made to get 1600 doos on oor transporter .

I think the biggest prob is the thundry weather ,the air full of changing magnetic forces and very low grey/black cloud this upsetting birds homing ability .
