  2. SORRY CANT SEE ANY DELETE...ANYWHERE
  3. sorry how do I EMPTY IT....OR WHAT DO I DO....?
  4. READ THE POST.....QUOTE MISSING 3 BIRDS ALL PREVIOUS OFFENDERS....DID THEY REDEEM THEMSELVES ....I rest my case....once again jumping in without reading what people are saying.
  5. garden centres......gardeners use them for killing small insects/spider mite etc. in their green houses.......
  6. very good flying....consistant,good returns....good luck should you send birds to Newbury. 1st/2nd. in the club this week.....good flying
  7. first of all let me state I never use sarcasm, now go back and read what I said ....the winner you quoted that topped the fed on several occasions I said "failed to return and that no-one really new what happened to the bird" there is a big difference.you also claim I said "If a bird failed to get rid of and dont breed from it THINK....IF IT FAILED IT WOULD NOT BE THERE TO DISPOSE OF IT.....you finaly claim that loads of good birds get lost each year and if you loose any bird,it deserves another chance....if you lose a pigeon how can you give it another chance......I would suggest you read what people are saying before jumping in.
  8. you mentioned a friends bird flew very well as a y/bird...topped the fed twice as a yearling topped the fed as a two year old....then it failed to return the next week the real truth is you do not know what happened to this bird. the rest is hypothetical what if it went into another fancier.....what if it escaped then returned home what if...what if...?
  9. YOU HAVE JUST AGREED WITH ALL I HAVE BEEN SAYING YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BIRD,WHAT YOUR SAYING IS ALL HYPOTHETICAL WHAT IF...WHAT IF........BIRDS THAT HAVE LET YOU DOWN WILL DO IT AGAIN WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH,BY THAT TIME YOU HAVE A LOFT FULL OF THEM......OR Y/B BRED FROM THEM....
  10. WHAT ARE YOU CALLING A MISTAKE....?
  11. YES YOUR BIRDS HAVE FAILED TO RETURN ....BUT WHY..? CAN YOU HONESTLY SAY THEY GOT LOST,TELL THE TRUTH ....AND THE TRUTH IS YOU DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM,THEY JUST DID NOT RETURN,EVEN FROM A SHORT TRAINING TOSS ONCE YOUR BIRDS ARE OUT OF SIGHT YOU DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM,PERHAPS YOUR 2TIMES FED WINNER HIT A WIRE AT THE RACE POINT OR ENROUTE YOU WILL NEVER KNOW.
  12. yes but barring accidents the good ones will work their way home.....you dont lose good doo.s
  13. did your hen find her own way back....or was she given a ride home in a wee van....?
  14. good to see that you have only dropped 1 bird....your left with some birds you can build from, can I ask why are you sending your whole team each week...? how many birds have taken positions in the first three in your club.I would suggest that you start selecting and setting your birds for nominated races rather than entering them all each week.....good luck.
  15. you did not loose your hen she worked her way home....big difference
  16. Its a start but then what,I believe that a lot more information would need to be collated, information such as.... 1.velocities of leading birds 2.missing birds.....where did they end up east/west/north/south 3.compare against other federation at the same race point. The list is endless as I stated in a previous post very high losses have resulted in fanciers breeding more birds each year trying to compensate for their heavy losses, breeding from birds that they should have binned the year before, I was once given a tip many years ago from a fancier who won 1st rennes with the S.N.F.C. when ringing your young birds, when there is two in the nest choose what you see as being the better of the two and ring it with the even number ring, the one you least fancied ring it with the odd number,in the case of a single reared y/b make your own decision even or odd.....at the end of the season check the numbers, after a couple of years you will find that a high percentage left each year will be even numbers and if you have an odd number ring left you will in all probability have its nest mate .....what I am tying to point out you get a chance early in the birds life to dispose of it...it just wont make the grade....try it
