hi there mates ive had another cock up breaking a hen to my loft sitting 15 days and iam realy fed up, i went to bed last night at 8 as i was so down. so heres what happened i let the hen out at 1.30 after the rest of the birds were settled outside after 15min she went to the garden and then on to a garage roof and then on to a house roof in the next block .later on she moved on to another street and then i went round to see if i could coax her back by throwing a pigeon up next to her she ignored it later i went back round and she vanished. the pigeons been with me since january i got her at blackpool and has a address ring and so far these rings have been a fat lot of good to me . regards lc

hi do pigeons realy need to be road traind between races or made to exercise round the loft twice a day for an hour? i remember reading an article by john harwood about winning 1st 2nd 3rd in a 200mile plus race .he said that after his birds returned the previous saturday thay never seen outside of the loft except once for a bath till the race the next saturday and he went on to say that good pigeons kept themselves fit .what do you all think thanks lc

hi there ive had racers for 26 year and ive finally decided to chuck it. this season i began with 10 oldbirds to race i gave them 1x5ml toss 1x10ml toss 1x15ml toss and 5 20 ml toss all by public transport as i dont drive, i lost 3 in training and began with 7 yearlings 6 had raced as ybs. the first race 60ml i lost 5 ,the second 80mile the 2 returned the next day.the 3rd race 120ml i sent two birds it was 40mins behind the winner iam realy embarrased going to my club with these results. every week i train my birds 20ml once. i fly them every day for an hour except on thursdays whem iam away all day i dont overcrowd my loft i treat for canker, cocco, worms and respritory i feed 1 and quarter ounce a day , ornispecial once a week and vit b once a week i try to motivate them but to no avail. i have came to these points a all the experts say dont overcrowd thats mince you need at least a hundred these days also . also b you need a estate car to train them and c you need to be retired or on benefits to work these modern systems ,or have 3 partners in closing am i the worst fancier in the uk.
