i was just thinking today about the amount of fanciers who keep these breeds in scotland. i myself have turkish tumblers and a couple of rollers plus one persian high flyer. whats everyone else got in scotland ? so start posting maybe we could have a bi monthly meeting to meet and talk swap tumblers,tipplers and rollers

small teams ,most people keep mobs now its how it is ! the russians say that there is quality in quantity seems most pigeon racers think the same.the thing that used to get to me was when someone sent 40 and i sent 4 and they rubbed your noses in it when they won !

hi ive got two pair of turkish tumblers on eggs they have poor nests even though i have laid out straw for them , also when i go into the loft they raise off there eggs my rollers and racers are tight sitters and have nests full of straw anyone got experience of breeding them on here thanks eamonn

hi there i met a man called bravil /jim mcblaine in galston the other day he told me he had been living in the newcastle area and had won a national race and was paid hard cash to leave the place by other fanciers he then asked me if i was getting rid of any pigeons ! anyone no this ace?

hi there i got two hens last week at blackpool in tuesday morning one had laid an egg on the floor since then she has not been able to fly at all iam sure she flew up to a perch on monday when i put her in my loft, and all in all she seems ok. lc

beware predators in blackpool the worst off all the lesser spotted pigeon cadger you find them mainly in hotels and bars (usually drinking your money),you also find them at auctions but youl never find them buying pigeons in auctions or stalls! they come over all nice and become your best pal and send you a dozen rings, one year i seen one getting a pigeon ,that the man just bought . SO BEWARE MEMBERS THERE OUT THERE SO BE ON YOUR GUARD ! LC

the man was British and he had all sorts of pigeons in big crates show racers,white racers, fantails and mags i think. i remember some one saying that he was rude to a lady when she complained about the pigeons having no water,so hardly a gentleman i think !

hi anyone remember the feather merchant at blackpool last year who had pigeons shoulder to shoulder with no water . there was lots of complaints about him on here , and some people were going to report him to the rpra and try to stop him getting a stall this year . lc

iam convinced that pigeons lose there bearings and fly out to sea whole batches, due to radio signals which meddle with there homing instinct. sattalite and mobile phone signals increase every year and so do loses ever wonder that every so often pigeons turn up in oil rigs and ships.
