i have two young birds six onth old who's dropping are wet mushy just horrible , i have tried all sort with the to cure it but to no avail even a hompathic remedy ! they are flying well and handle well i just dont understand it at all !! even put sawdust down in a deep litter to hide it but the dust done for me ,, any one had this before ?

my friend came in and gutted my place today, no more sawdust for me i was breathless so back to the bare floor..

hi i started using sawdust / shavings on my loft floor ,throwing some down every day , started getting breathing problems with it and had to take it up.. has anyone else had this problem with sawdust / Shavings ?? thank you

Even keeping young birds is becoming impossible with young bird sickness every year never mind trying to race them at the end of the day its up to the fancier what he wants to do .

when i started pigeon's in 1981 most lofts were 12x6 the odd one 16x6 and of course the club mob flyer a much bigger loft. birds sent were 5, 10,15 per fancier old bird racing . my question is what's the average birdage a fancier sends these days ? in these times of Mob flyers !!!

hi I got a pair of blacks at blackpool , I was checking there young and they have a red in the nest ! had black's for a few years but ive never had a red from them ??

hi my birds have got PMV .the pigeon vet has sent me vaccine to arrive tomorrow . i'am looking for a person to vaccinate my pigeons tomorrow night and i'am happy to pay . i i'am in the garnock valley north ayrshire

treated the birds with baytril for a week . put electrolyts in yesterday and today. gave the vet a sample last saturday still not got back to me i am very angry with the vet..my other hut all is well..

thank you.. got two still ill the rest touch wood are ok . there still on baytril and ive sent my droppings off to be tested. i'am sure it was brought in my loft by another fancier . when I called him he told me the symtoms before I told him !!

in all honesty no , i cean my loft every day and wash my utensils . i have birds of a good age from four to seven and never treated i dont race only have 20 tipps and tumblers.

got three pigeons at blackpool seemed no issue as I have had a good few over the years. two weeks ago a man came to see my pigeons he keeps pigeons on two sites , all types and breeds gets them everywhere . few days after his visit a yearling hen went bad ,got baytril from the vet and its ok now , yesterday a two year old cock died been ill as the hen was , I now have another two going the same way. when I phoned this guy he said his birds had been ill same symtoms as mine before I told him . I have had Baytril in the water since Wednesday , do you think he walked it in ?

kept pigeons for 37 years ,racing and not racing , have a virus in my loft that was either brought from Blackpool or with a mob flyer coming round my huts. in 1981 a first had pigeons I got them from everywhere no problem with them certainly no viral infections not like now..then came jagging I think the beginning of the end of pigeon keeping in the uk ! throw in mob flyers commercialism and outright greed and the games f8888ked ! i'am surprised more pigeon men are not in the caper house or on anti depressants ! as for me I gave up racing but still have pigeons tumblers/tipplers a love the wee souls but to see them die and be sick breaks my spirit . been to the vets got BAYTRIL SAVED ONE another two ill and one has died . I never started pigeons to become a vet or a taxi driver for pigeons ,I started them because I like them and wanted to have them and to race them for a hobby . so there you go with my rant and as for me I am on anti depressants ! wonder if its cos I keep pigeons ?
