hi there i took the eggs away so that my hens would miss next weeks race due to being eggy and then would be able to go to the next 3 or 4 races on eggs.

hi there ive got a hen bird i want to break next year .i dont think this pigeon has ever been outside a loft in her life as i got her from a man who kept his pigeons in averys . any suggestions?

so it would do no harm to the birds not rearing any young?

hi there i wont be racing next season so is it possible to keep pigeons on dummy eggs all the time and not hatch any , or is it bad for them not to rear any young? regards lc

thats what i intend to do i love keeping pigeons and iam not botherd to much about racing anymore as even getting them home from a short toss is hart in mouth stuff these days, i lost 10 youngbirds last monday from a 5mile toss and now losing the wouter cock has put the tin lid on it for me .regards lc

thanks phil i had him in since january and bred 2 rounds from him i hope your right and hes back tomorrow but hes been away since thursday,i meant did anyone keep racers just for pleasure of keeping them without racing none of them at all. lc

hi i let a cock out in thursday i got at blackpool from peter kos ,he seemed settled but alas when he got out he looked around got up and flew away and ive not seen him since, he has my address ring on but so have many others ive lost. my question is how does a pigeon react when hes never been out before because for all i no he may not have been out before in his life, and also does anyone in the forum keep racers without racing them ?
