your lucky rick i`m still waiting for 4 birds only 2 clocked in club last night our race is open untill val falls below 220ypm .

i need 1 to come tomorrow for me to be the avarage winner so fingers crossed tink ive got till around 3pm to get 1

what were other returns in your club like sue i think only 2 birds clocked in pershore.

just remember this time of year there is plenty of stubble fields with corn on the ground grain in the farm yard etc etc they may not have been in anyones loft but fielding i see loads in the fields this time of year even rock doves so its natural to our bird i know the belgums incourage it this time of year .

i take it you don`t fly under rpra rules then as a second clock may only be used if clock 1 fails . our fed have 3 races where they say birds have to be double rubbered on championship races but if you use ets this cannot be implicated .

ive had 2/3 hard race and our fed glos fed is useless hold the birds back till 11.45 then lib when they are going to clash with midlands national birds and national birds on route home what a waste of money this week the race controler wants stringing up.

well i`ll hold her back now till the last 2 races 111 miles and 193 and see how she comes any other time they trap as soon as i call them in . i was not nervous at all alf so why do you say that? i`m the same with my birds weather its a race day or just loft flying so would have nothing differant for them to see or sense .

i know you had this prob the other week pete maybe its just the birds this time of year. ALF i cant see its me if they are out in the garden and i shake the tin they will fly to me and land on my hand so they are tame and use to me as i alway teach them to hand feed too .

sent my birds to the first return race today bath 40 miles first bird back at 1130 libbed at 1045 would she come in ?NO she flew round and round and then went off till 4pm before she went in gutted now best vali would have had this year and she would not trap well she will go to lessey 193 miles in 3 weeks

how many of you put your life rings on upside down so as when marking checking ring number you can read it without having to twist your head ? i see the new life rings have to go the right way up for the ets modual to fit into it why cant they be done the other way now its going to be twisting heads again to check ring number are correct with ets ring .

have you treated with canker tabs in the last 48hrs ? why i ask is i had this week b4 racing yb`s it turned out it was a reaction from the tabs .

i`m just having a coffee then back to another 12hrs of field work now the corn is all in .

i spent the last 5 races of old birds sending 1 bird as that was all i had left normally i send 3 or 4 yb as i only have a team of 9 ybs left so spread it out.

if you use a ferret you need a dog ferret as they give off the smell rats don`t like i put old ferret muck under my lofts and keep poison down 24/7 if the rats can get a feed outside without having to spend time noring through the wood they will take the bait rather than chew. also rats can smell us and a dead rat on a trap wash your traps in warm soapy water and set while wet as they dry our sent evaporates and you catch more rats .

what gets my goat up is when you fill in the club results from the rpra link it has 4 postions so you fill in 1-4 and they only print 1-3 for gods sake if you provide all 4 results wish they would print all 4 .
