in 2008 i moved my first round of 17 youngsters ,i had been waiting for planning permission ,and it was slow coming .had the youngsters flying out for over a week .as soon as i got the letter of approval, they were hept in old loft and couldnt see out .put new loft up ,moved them in ,built a temporary avairy over door and left door open all day . fed them lightly same time just before dusk . after 3 days i took avairy away ,let them out 1/2 hour before feeding time .pecked about for 10 minutes then woosh up they went ,some flying ,some on roof tops ,one headed East never to be seen again .at feeding time shook the tin and most in , just 2 short . dont get me wrong ,my heart was in my mouth ,but pigeons are clever ,they soon get to know where the food is . good luck.
