i bought John Halsteads dvd " going the distance" i think the title is ,at Blackpool in 2012 .its still wrapped in celophane ,i must get round to watching it , as i would like to send mine a little further this year

first 3 eggs this morning ,1 in the race loft (both yearlings) 2 in the stock loft ,1 under a new pair .most the established pairs havent laid as yet ,day 10 today (some of the hens are a little on the fat side tho)

i will send to every race (if i am fit enough) . i do tend to select some for individual races tho

an "old hand" once told me of a 7 year cycle in colouration . his family of dark and blue checkers would throw pieds every 7 years , they even produced 1 near white cock .
