Mrs Burgess, whites were last out 2 weeks ago ,as I was cleaning the section , heard the crows making a noise ,came out to see the hawk on a little hen not 10 foot away on the lawn . luckily I was quick enough to rescue her . I have to get them fit somehow , waiting another month or 2 isn't really an option , very little we can do about it Pat .

err yes and no Lindsay , depends what stage they are at .not until up on perches , then only as part of a mix .definitely when racing (for me) . each to their own tho, what works for some , may not work for others .

put the old bird race hens out today for the first time in a while. most enjoying a rain shower , some flying . just hoping they all trap ok a little later ??

its true I am rarely happy

put the racers together today , a good clean out . hens in closed side of box , most are new pairings , even the established racing cocks most have a new partner ? hopefully all will go well looking to place "racing hens" in there section tomorrow for a "new system" of celibate ? see how it goes ?
